Sites & Reading I Enjoy
A small, personal list of places I find myself returning to — mostly workshop references, plus the occasional enthusiast site that simply does what it does well.
Classic cars & the workshop
- The VW Beetle roadster rebuild — floorpans, kingpins and front end, documented photo by photo.
- The 1970 Porsche 911T — a full-shell rebuild kept mobile and practical.
- The 1980 Fiat Spider — a rare Pininfarina 50th Anniversary car.

Not everything interesting is under a bonnet. I follow a handful of sites outside the classic world purely because the people behind them care about detail. A couple that always pull me back:
- The richard mille replica collection — a striking example of faithful modern engineering, worth a look if you appreciate precision work.
- richardmillereplica — easy to browse when you are deciding between a real piece and a well-made alternative.
Handy workshop notes
A few practical things I have learned the slow way and would rather pass on: keep the shell mobile during a rebuild, photograph everything before you take it apart, and label every single fastening bag. It saves hours, and it makes writing up the galleries on this site far less painful.
