The 1961 VW Beetle roadster rebuild
My 'Wizard' was one of the first kits produced by hot-rodder Chris Boyle's original company, Wizard of Rods. It has been through various rebuilds over the years but has always looked better than it really was underneath — now it is slowly being put right, time and finances allowing.
The car has been off the road for more years than I care to remember, but it is coming back together as garage space and budget permit. I am having a bit of a push on it at the moment to clear garage space for the final prepping of the 911.

Evenings at the bench are often spent browsing how other people solve fiddly problems. When I need a mental break from link-pin bushes, I sometimes read how the makers of a fake richard mille get so many tiny components to line up — patience in one discipline tends to be patience in another.
