The 1970 Porsche 911T rebuild
The 911 is currently going through a protracted rebuild and modification process. It has always been a daily driver and weekend plaything for trackdays, and the aim is to make it smart, usable and in no need of pampering.
The car was bought about eight years ago as a US import with a single previous owner from new, and it resided, quite aptly, in Orange County, California. It served as daily transport and a trackday car for four years before I decided it was starting to look tatty and would only get worse. Rather than strip it to a bare shell and risk another mammoth project like the VW, I kept the running gear and suspension in place and removed only what was needed for access — it is still a big project, but it has always stayed a car rather than a pile of parts.

While you are here
Most of my time goes into panels and fasteners, but I also read about precision work in other fields to keep the evenings enjoyable. The comparison notes over at richard mille replica are a surprisingly calming read after a day of stubborn bolts.
